Staggering Global WhatsApp Usages Revealed: 85 Billion Hours in Three Months
Yesterday, a research and
analytics firm in the United States revealed astonishing statistics on
increasing WhatsApp usage worldwide. The leading data-analysis company Apptopia
demonstrated in its recent update that in the last three months, users spent 85
billion hours on WhatsApp.
Many Shaadi app development companies reacted on the news by stating
that the real reason behind the immense popularity of the app doesn’t only lie
in the increasing numbers of general users but the sellers. A multitude of small
to medium scale businesses is frequently using WhatsApp to connect with new
customers and selling and communicating with the existing ones.
The user base of WhatsApp is
expanding exponentially every day. With over 1.5 billion users worldwide, the
Facebook-owned company has become the planet’s biggest chatting engine. It is
staggering to know that every human being on the earth has spent 11.5 hours on
WhatsApp on an average.
On the other hand, its parent
company Facebook was left with 30 billion total hours spent by its user base.
Led by Whatsapp, the world of a highly addictive app is mostly stuffed with
chatting/ social media app including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and
Messenger.
Facebook has become the king of
Google Play Store and Apple App Store by breaching its four apps in the list of
highly used apps. Apps and phones are evolving every day. However, not much of
the innovation can be seen in battery technology except this recently developed
app that reduces smartphone’s power
consumption by as much as 30%.
